Without listing family members or time with them (because A. we've had a LOT of togetherness this week and we need some spaces in our togetherness right now, and B. because of course, FAMILY, right? ) here they are, in no particular order:
- Pugs
- Drinking my morning coffee in peaceful solitude
- Reading a good book in my cozy chair on a rainy day
- Blue Hydrangea
- Chips & salsa
- Guacamole
- Queso (see a pattern here?)
- I especially enjoy those last 3 while out with girlfriends catching up every blue moon
- Twinkle lights
- Fairy gardens
- small town festivals (my town's Blueberry Festival is a fave)
- fat kitties that have a muscle-car engine purr
- Hot tea with honey
- iced sweet tea with lime (best if it's the good ice)
- Irish butter (it is just better)
- air conditioning (it gets over 100 here just about every day in the summer & it's sticky humid)
- bacon
- Cottages with arched doors
- porches with haint blue ceilings
- fresh strawberries
- Napping on freshly washed sheets
- Orange chocolates
- porch swings
- fireflies
- getting snail mail
Wow! I feel better already just thinking about all these lovely things. How about you? What are some of your favorites?
I love my morning coffee! (although sometimes with or without quiet with four little ones). Thanks for sharing your favorites list!!
ReplyDeleteI only have 2, but yes---so difficult to find quiet moments!

DeleteI love this idea (saw the post yesterday too) and I was thinking about making my list today. The weather where I am has been so cold, gray, and gloomy - need some happiness. Hot tea and morning coffee are definitely gonna be on my list too!

4. A good bakery.
5. Lazy spring break days!

YAY! can't wait to read it!
DeleteI'm a country girl at heart and so I can relate to #8 "Cottages with arched doors" I noticed it's the simple things that make you happy. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteYour top eight are spot on! Except mine is tea instead of coffee. :)
ReplyDeleteA great list; you and I share a lot of favorite things--especially air conditioning and butter. Everything's better with butter.
ReplyDeleteI love your list! Many of those things would be on my list, too, especially blue hydrangeas, twinkling lights, fireflies, and porch swings. Fun to think about all those things. ~JudyK
ReplyDeleteWhat a great list...I love & will need to try out this format. I would need to for sure add Diet Coke! I love the vivid description of #12!
